Kannou Museum

This Kannon Bodhisattva themed museum is connected with the Kannondo and honors Hasedera Temple. On the first floor there is the original inscription of of Bunei Gannen (1264). In Kamakura there is also the third oldest bell “Bonshoku” (Important Cultural Property) behind the Jogaku-ji Temple. There are precious temple treasures such as the Kamakura-era monument (Tobi). the 11yh plan of the Cantonese Buddha “Kakeboshi” (Important Cultural Property) with the inscription of the Mototoku Sannen (1331). On the second floor, you can see valuable Buddhist art, and other items, including the 33 appearance images of Kannon.
