Sakakura So Honke

This specialty Japanese-style confectionery store was founded in 1891. They have three stores in Yokosuka. Among them, the signboard product named after the anecdote of a Nichiren priest and a kind fisherman that landed on the Yokosuka Village Coast, called “tsuno nashisa zawe saichu”, and is known as a designated confectionery of Kanagawa Prefecture. This product has a restrained sweetness with a rich taste that comes from crushed red bean jam within a light brown crust, strained bean paste in a pink crust, and yuzu red bean paste in a white crust.
