Inoue Kamaboko Kamakura Station Mae store
This kamaboko (fish cake) store was founded in 1931. Since Yoshiyuki Makita, the founder, separated from the branch family’s “Inoue Kamaboko Store” in Oiso, he set up a kamaboko making shop in Yuigahama. Using carefully selected white fish “guchi”, he refined how he made “kamaboko”, “plum blossom pounded fish cake”, and “koban age”, which are his signboard products. The “Kamakura Ekimae Store” has Japanese food, “Saryoinoue” has sweets, and next door is “Sou INOU” that has side dishes of locally grown vegetables and homemade surimi of the Inoue Kamaboko Store.
