Nugoo Kamakura
This specialty shop in Kamakura sells Chuusen dyed hand towels. It consists of two stores, the “Wakamiya-oji Store” and the “Two Torii Store”. It is said that it started with the thought that it is possible to change the beautiful dyeing culture in Japan to a free style that does not follow ridgid rules. The “Wakamiya-oji Store” is in a 40 meter space, they usually order more than 300 hand towels from dyeing factories throughout Japan, and have about 700 other items, totaling to more than 1000 items. They also have a lot of bags and accessories made by local Kamakura artists, and Kamakura plant dyed hand towels.
