Chakkirako Misaki Showa-kan

Chakkirako Misaki Showa-kan

This museum exhibits the folk performing art of “Chakkirako” that is only danced by women to pray for abundant fishing and good harvesting during the lunar New Year in the Kagura and Nakazaki areas of Misaki. In the hall, there are reproductions of the appearance of the lives of common-people in the Showa era (1926-1989). In addition to the Showa era books, toys, and movie posters, you can see the handwritten music scores by the Misaki-born composer, Michizo Komura.
