Senkoin

This temple was built between 1504-1520 by Chief Satori Ajari to spread Koyasan Shingon Buddhism. The objects of worship are the eleven-faced Goddess of Mercy, Mahavairocana, Vaisravana, Acala, statue of the Great Teacher of Buddhism, and Hatakeyama Jizou. Traditional funeral services and Buddhist memorial services are held here. They also prepare a collection of articles of the deceased, memorial service for the dead, doll memorial service, pet cremation, and the end of life funeral service plan. They aim to be “a temple that anyone can casually visit”.
