Hayama Park

Hayama Park

The park is adjacent to the imperial villa. It was once a horse-riding ground that was attached to the imperial villa, where the imperial household used to practice horseback riding. In 1946, the current Imperial Household Agency transferred to Kanagawa Prefecture. After servicing the building in April 1957, it was opened as a “neighborhood park”. Sagami Bay spreads out in front of you, and it has a spectacular viewpoint of Mt. Fuji and Enoshima. In the park, there are black pine forest where the sea breeze blows, groups of cute Japanese roses grow near the seashore, and you can feel the openness of the lawn.
