Mikasa Historic Memorial Warship

Mikasa Historic Memorial Warship

In the Battle of the Sea of Japan, a battleship called “Mikasa” fought bravely as a flagship of the Combined Fleet led by Commander-in-Chief, Tojo Heihachiro, and contributed to their historic victory. In the memorial ship, visitors can see the 30 cm main cannon, which is said to be the symbol of the battleship, the arms chamber that is arranged in the shape of a human, and the radio communication room that received the first report of the Baltic Fleet. At the Mogami Bridge, you can see the place where the Commander-in-Chief Tojo, chief of staff Kato, captain Ijichi, and operations staff Akiyama would have stood.
