Kamakura Kaburagi Kiyokata Memorial Museum
Kaburagi Kiyokata is a museum that focuses on modern Japanese art with the theme of pure women, lively citizen’s lives, and literary works. There are many emotional Japanese paintings and elegant literary essays stored at this museum. In 1994, bereaved family members wanted to share with future generations on how Kamakura City was conveyed in paintings and literary works, so they donated artworks and documents, as well as the land and building. In 1998, it opened as a memorial museum.
