【Odawara】 The 54th Odawara Hojo Festival Festival

Odawara city’s biggest festival honoring Sengoku Daimyo Hojo who reigned in the Kanto region for about five hundred years in the Warring States era when fighting the bone flesh and made the nation ideal of peacefulness of the people.
A samurai queue simulating mainly Hojo Five Godai’s castle owner and music corps such as the local brass band and the Ground Self Defense Force, and a community soldier including a shrine mikoshi participate, so it’s extravagance that 1,700 people walk through the market bravely! In addition, in town, experiencing events such as firing guns by Hojo gunsmen and performances of Fuma Ninja, as well as stamp rallies and singular swords throwing gifts are also performed.
