KANAGAWA CHARTER BOAT RECREATION

This is Shonan’s landmark and holy ground for sailors.

After reclamation of the northeast shore of Enoshima in Fujisawa, Kanagawa, the greatest yacht harbor in East Japan was established. Then the venue was used for the sailing competition in the Tokyo Olympics. And once again in 2020, the venue will be utilized for another ardent fight for the Olympics. The harbor is full of yacht men on the weekends with several races being held. In 2014, the yacht house went under construction and has been made to be more convenient so that the general public could utilize it as well. This harbor attracts attention from the world, marking a landmark of Shonan with many excited for the new developments planned for the future.

A trait of the yacht house has a white rooftop based on the intention of portraying an image of the wind and waves. There is also an observatory to overlook the entire harbor.
■　Sazae Island
An artificial islet at the far end of the center promenade. It is a popular spot for photo shoots.
■　Café "Tobiccho" Enoshima Yacht Harbor Shop
Please try out “Shirasu don” or a bowl of young sardines scooped from the ocean locally seasoned in natural salt.
■　Marine Shop “1964”
From accessories to marine wear of the British brand Musto, this shop sells many goods with an edge.
■　Tower for Evacuation
This tower was built in case of a tsunami. However, the tower itself can generally be utilized as an observatory.
